Weekly Wow's- Making sense of a tragedy

Writing this week's Wow's today just didn't seem right for me.
See, my heart is hurting. I am still shocked and very sadden by the recent events that occurred yesterday in Newtown Connecticut, just as you are. Perhaps as the days go on and we get more information about this senseless tragedy,we will try despite how we feel today, to realize that there is more good in the world then there is evil.
And that sometimes we just don't understand it and may never will.
I pray that god will provide the strength and comfort to those families affected and for the community and school of Newtown, Connecticut.
I also hope that you will love your child a bit more then yesterday, and a bit more then that tomorrow and everyday after.

Beth from Homestories A to Z shared some wonderful talking points on how to talk to your about school shootings, which may help you in the upcoming weeks with your child.

See you tomorrow.

Grateful for~
The chance to hug and love on my kids today.

It is a scary thing to think that there is that much evil alive in this world. At least one small part of the evil has died at his own hand. xo Diana

I know EXACTLY how you feel. I didn't post on Friday or Saturday or tomorrow. I just couldn't. It seemed so disrespecful.

My thoughts and prayers go out to those sweet families. I just saw one of the father's talking on the news and it about broke my heart.

Such sadness. :(

KariAnne,
PLEASE post - you do have a way, as does Laura, of posting what is in your heart. Not doing anything seems so callous and I know you aren't.
The pain we all feel must be acknowledged.

I agree that this is a time when we are all feeling a bit fragile. Almost afraid to feel joy during the holidays because we know how awful some families are feeling right now. Are those pics of your kids visiting Santa? Precious!!

Thank you for posting the type of post you have posted. We are all grieving and praying for all of those who have lost their family members, as well as our country and its people.
Take care,
Emily

Whenever I remember the past weekend I'll remember your lovely and beautiful son's trusting eyes and think that's how these angels are staring their Creator.
Thank you for sharing this
