The Secret To A Healthy Life...... and a Giveaway

As you may or may not know, I am no spring chicken. I have plenty of young chickens on the farm...but I am not one of them.  But that's okay. Those young chicks have a hard time keeping up with me anyways.
What's not okay though, is not taking care of me and my health. I try really hard to create a balanced lifestyle for myself and my family and trust me...it's not always easy. Especially when all these fields will eventually need to be cut, the animals fed and being there for my kids, as a mom. And as tired as I may be some days...I do what I need to do to stay healthy ...and to keep those feet looking good.
I could tell you that the secret to my healthy life is kinda like running through a field of daisies...if it makes me happy I do it. See if I am healthy, I am happy. If I am happy, my husband is happy. If my husband is happy, the family is happy...  You get the picture.

In addition to running...through the daisies, I am committed to good health by taking vitamins everyday. The vitamin that has provided me a lot of benefit in reaching my commitment to good health is vitafusion™.  Honestly, I am not a huge fan of vitamins that take an hour to muster up the courage to swallow, cuz they are huge, or the smell is not so pleasant (you know the ones I'm talking about), so these are perfect because they look and taste like gummies... but just for me.
Each morning as I sit down with my morning hot tea and start my day, I take 2 MultiVites, but vitafusion™ gummy vitamins come in a variety of vitamins, minerals and other dietary supplements that may help adults meet their health and nutrition needs*. In fact they have vitamins and supplements to meet your health needs through every stage of life including men, women, pregnant women and those 50+.  Another product benefit, vitafusion™ products are made in the USA. I love that, just like I love my daisies!

You can find vitafusion™  gummy vitamins at club stores, mass merchandisers, drug and grocery stores nationwide including: Costco, Walmart, Target and Walgreens. More information can be found at www.gummyvites.com.
I am not giving away any of my daisies today, although you are welcome to come run through them with me,  but I am giving away a $100 Visa gift card. Just leave me a comment telling me one way you maintain a healthy lifestyle. That's it. Easy, just like taking a vitafusion vitamins each day.
Good luck and here's to your health!

grateful for~
good health

Hot Pink Rug....In the Bedroom

Did you see that PINK rug here yesterday in my craft room, if not, here it is again, but this time.......

in my little girls bedroom.
See, I had originally planned for the rug to go in her bedroom but when I first saw it and loved it, me and the rug immediately made a dash into the craft room...and never left.
For the record, I usually do not steal rugs from my children.

Needless to say she wasn't too pleased..... so mama ordered another from hereNow she is happy and sleeping quite comfortably.

I can't wait to share the changes that me and the pink rug made in her bedroom.

Don't forget to enter the rug giveaway here.

grateful~
for a daughter who loves pink

For the record.....it's hot pink and it could be yours!

Oh, how I so wish we could craft together, here in my newly transformed craft room.

We could sit here talking about the latest in burlap trends, mod podge projects and .....

the color of the rug.  You see, when I posted my craft room reveal here, some of you dear friends congratulated me on a job well done and how much you loved the RED rug. What..... although the rug in red would be a stunner!!

I must tell you that I love this hot pink rug so much, that I ordered another identical rug for my little girls bedroom. I feel both spaces were totally transformed with this chic .....pink rug. I wanted durability and color in both rooms, and this rug does that.

So, I am setting the record straight today not only with the color but giving you a chance to win a $150.00 credit towards any Mohawk rug, so you can get your own hot pink, red or whatever style and color rug you want.

That way, there's no confusion and we can get back to talking about something else!

Just leave me a comment below telling me what room you could use a new carpet in. That's it.  For extra entries, leave me an additional comment telling me you shared with your friends on Facebook, Twitter or Pinterest. One entry for each share
Contest ends on June 14th. Winner will be chosen and notified via email, so please leave me your email in your comment. If I don't have it and you show up as a no reply, I won't be able to contact you and have to give the rug to someone else. Boo hoo.

Good luck and let's get back to crafting!

This contest is now closed.

PS- More contest rules and disclosures. I was provided a Mohawk rug in exchange for this review, but all opinions about my pink rug, are just mine.
Open to residents of U.S. only.   Contest ends at 11:59 p.m. EDT June 14, 2014. Winner will be chosen by Random.org and will be notified within three days of the giveaway end. The winner will have 48 hours to respond to the email and claim their prize. Any prizes not claimed within 48 hours will be forfeited and another winner will be chosen via Random.org. Sponsor will be responsible for shipping rug.

PPS- Here are some suggestions for looking online for a Mohawk rug. I selected my rug from Overstock:

BloomStruck™ Hydrangeas + $100 Giveaway!

Before I moved onto our farm, I had no idea what my green thumb was capable of... nor did I know it existed.
Flowers and vegetables were store bought each week, I was more concerned with my freshly done manicure then getting my hands dirty and I had no earthly idea what the difference between a perennial and an annual was. Email me if you don't, and I will tell you.
Then we built a home here, in the country, on a dirt road in the middle of no where. Where we have plenty of land, a tractor named Bubba, and... lots of dirt. And so with visions of beautiful flowering blooms in my head, we started digging and built my very first garden.

Initially it was going to be a cutting garden, but the tractor kept on digging and digging and soon I realized that this would be a place where I can not only cut from but also sit and enjoy.

Over the years, my garden has evolved and grown into what was once a surface of red Georgia clay with my outline of a path meandering through the future flowers, into the exact vision that I had in my head so many years ago... and so much more.

And along that meandering pathway there is one plant that has stayed loyal and faithful, growing and coming back each year. My hydrangeas.
I actually have a few varieties of hydrangeas  currently in my garden in blue and pink but am pretty excited about a new plant that I will be putting in the garden this summer called BloomStruck from the Endless Summer® Collection.   BloomStruck hydrangeas have sturdy red stems to hold those big beautiful blooms, which is perfect if I choose not to  cut them,  they will provide blooms all summer because they re-bloom, and are perfect for my garden cause they  prefer morning sun and the afternoon shade. The best part.....
they are easy to grow and require very little maintenance and time. That's my kind of gardening!
And the bonus is... being able to cut the blooms all season and bring them in house...
to enjoy. Which was also a part of my original vision. But just more beautiful.  Did you know soil pH really does dictate bloom color....just ask my hydrangeas, they will tell you.
And since I am just the girl who got on her tractor years ago and started digging in the dirt, afraid to ruin her freshly manicured nails, you can find more details about the Endless Summer® Collection from the professionals  here.
 ENDLESS EASE.
 ENDLESS COLOR.
 ENDLESS POSSIBILITIES

Contest has ended and winner will be notified via mail.

Speaking of possibilites, I would love to giveaway a $100.00 Visa Card to one of my readers. Just leave me a comment telling me what your favorite flowers from the garden... or grocery store are.
Good Luck!

My Laundry BFF .....and a giveaway

Here’s the reality of my life and specifically of my laundry situation…I need all the help I can get.   I am not necessarily talking about putting the laundry in the washer machine and promptly moving it into the dryer, which of course would be super nice of you if you are offering, since there’s a few piles on the laundry room floor ready to go.  I am talking about help with getting my clothes clean.  And not from the occasional peanut butter and jelly sandwich smear, I am talking about from the Red Georgia Clay, and lots of it!
Unfortunately, red clay is inevitable and a fact of life if you live in Georgia, and it seems to intensify when you live in the country and have 3 active children and a husband who are forever outside…getting dirty.  Since there is no way I will stand in the way of my children appreciating the outdoors, I need to find help with getting the laundry clean.

Tide has always been my detergent of choice and now Tide Pods are my new laundry BFF.  I know that may sound silly, having a laundry BFF, but when you need as much help as I do, having a laundry BFF to support you is good.  I mean who wouldn’t want a BFF that cleans, fights those stains and brightens all in one.  Tide Pods does that.

I especially like that I do not have to measure and pour the detergent in the washer anymore.  My BFF is easy, just toss a pod in the load and start. This is a picture of my BFF.

Tide Pods strong and reliable stain removing power certainly helps with the stubborn clay stains and…the peanut butter and jelly smears.  Tide Pods is a detergent, stain remover and brightener in one. So even if some of those embedded clay stains do not come out, at least my children’s clothes will be brighter and clean!
If you are looking for a laundry BFF, I am willing to share information.......not do your laundry. You can click here for more information and how to purchase Tide Pods.
And if you leave me a comment below telling me any of your laundry tips, you will have a chance to win a $100 Visa card. That's it. Easy and clean...just like Tide Pods.

Good luck and have fun doing the laundry!
Grateful for~
